A Season of Thankfulness: Thanks to the Giving God

Let’s give thanks to the giving God. “And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and rehearse His deeds with shouts of joy and singing! Ps 107: 22

Happy Thanksgiving Family and Friends,

Brag on God with thanksgiving and Praise. What are you specifically thankful for?
Thank Him for all He has done!

Ephesians 5:20 – Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I pray that your holiday is blessed and enjoyable. While you are enjoying the turkey day and food do not let it overshadow the purpose of Thanksgiving-to express thankfulness and gratitude to God! God is a God of love and love is not  self seeking . Therefore giving thanks is not just for the benefit of God. “God wants you to give thanks because a thankful heart opens the door to more blessing in your life”!(Pastor Keith Butler)

This week each day I challenge each of us to brag on God and specifically think about, and thank the Lover of Your soul for all His blessings to you. Then open your mouth with the sacrifice of praise and Tell God and others how thankful and grateful you are.

I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise; 2 I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. Psalm 138:1-2

Here is a Prayer Of Thanksgiving by Rev Chestina Mitchell Archibald. Rev. Archibald reflected on Psalms 118:1  in writing this prayer

                                                       A Prayer of Thanksgiving

Almighty and Everlasting God,

How can I begin to thank You for Your abundant blessings? Never, could I repay the gift of life! The Blessings which flow freely from you are numerous. You  are such a generous God. Thanks for the abundant love and blessings You give. Lord, I offer my heartfelt thanks for Your gifts, both physical and spiritual. Thank You for awakening my heart and spirit to the awareness of Your presence. Lord, because of You life has meaning, and I  am filled with hope formed with purpose , and brimming with potential. In gratitude, I offer my life anew.  Amen.

Rev Chestina Mitchell Archibald.

Let’s keep our eyes open wide so we and others can see all the great blessings and things we have to be thankful for.

Remember others. If you cannot feed a hundred people, then feed just one. As we have therefore opportunity let us do good unto all men. Galatians 6:10 #feedone #helpsomebody #dogood During this Holiday Season of joy, celebration and gathering with family and friends (and really all the year) remember those grieving from lost (divorce, death, rejection, failure) and suffering from illness and depression. Remember the poor and lonely. This time of year is often depressing to some. Pray for them and then—- DO. Give a smile, a hug, an encouraging word, a touch, a donation. Feed them; give a gift, a visit, support, and resources. We are God’s ambassadors created for good works. I am so thankful. I want to tell you how extremely thankful to God for being able to connect and share with you.

With a heart filled with gratitude

Fervently pray and give thanks,

Brag on God: Think and Thank Him (Day 3 and 4)

Thanksgiving Day falls in November where family and friends join together to celebrate and to give thanks. November should be a month where we give thanks to the Lord all month long. We should remember how far He has brought us. We should have a heart of thankfulness. We should really thank Him  everyday throughout the year for God is good all the time.  “ O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever”. Psalm 107:1

Thankfulness means “to express gratitude”.  Sometimes someone does something nice, but we never tell that person. Thankfulness is being so full of thanks that we can’t keep it inside or to ourselves.  We just have to tell God “thank You”.

So I am challenging you to thank God for one thing each day during this month. Better yet please share  your “Lord I thank you________”.

This is Day 3 of Brag on God. Think and Thank Jesus (all month long and every day) He is good. So meditate and think on all He has done for you and give thanks.

“And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and rehearse His deeds with shouts of joy and singing! Ps 107: 22
Remember to give thanks unto the Lord for all that He has done. Thank God for His loving kindness to you. Thank Him for his grace, gentleness, and greatness. God is good all the time.

Day 4 Brag on God. Praise Him and tell the Lord how thankful you are for Him. Think and Thank. Think of how He came to your rescue time and time again. Give thanks to the Lord all month long.(all the time) #BragonGod #thinkandthank

We are commanded to enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise ( Ps. 100:4). The giving of thanks and praise is the key that opens these gates more quickly than anything else. Try it.
Think and Thank. Praise His name .What are you thankful?

Fervently pray and give thanks to the Lord,
