Take a moment to thank and pray for the brave men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces and who are serving today. I want to thank those who have sacrificed their lives in service to their country and never came back home alive. My heart also goes out to the those men and women who have suffered the loss of limbs for their country.
Remember our fallen soldiers.
Remember our missing in action soldiers.
Remember prisoners of war. Pray for their deliverance and their families.
Remember our wounded soldiers. Pray for their physical, mental and emotional healing.
To our men and women in harm’s way, our prayers are with you. Pray for the protection of our soldiers serving around the world and at home in the United States and within our own borders.
Pray as follows:
• Pray for those who have lost a loved one in battle. These grieving families have paid the ultimate price. Ask that God’s comfort would be upon them in a special way .
• Pray for our wounded service members and their families. Pray for mental and emotional healing as well as physical healing. Pray they obtain the necessary medical and other services they need and deserve.
• Pray for divine protection and guidance for our armed forces. Ask God to intercede for military chaplains and loved ones at home.
• Pray for the courageous troops, and their families, who are actively serving our country each day , not only at bases around the world, but also here within our borders. Our soldiers daily place themselves in harm’s way in order to defend the way of life we hold dear as well.
• Pray the Lord’s protection will go before them. Pray that prisoners of war will be released and be healed emotionally and physically. Lord work a miracle for those who are missing in action .
During the Memorial Day Weekend pray for families as they travel and gather together to celebrate.Pray for traveling mercies, safety, joy and love. Remember Veterans who may not have received the honor due to them. Lena Horne, in the picture below, is with a group of Tuskegee Airmen on January 1, 1945. There are countless photos of Ms. Horne visiting Tuskegee Airmen and other military personnel to show her support for their service. She also showed her support for them by refusing to perform for segregated military audiences during World War II. Photo: Associated Press
