Prayer for Teachers is Needed!

Every day for the last three weeks I have been posting specific strategic daily prayers for students , their schools and college and the education mountain under PROJECT PASS- Praying Always for Students and Schools. I have requested your child’s, grandchild, nephew etc name and school/college from  Pre-K through college. Prayer is need for our teachers as well who have to teach our children.  Yes , teachers need prayer and encouragement as they deal with our children, some unruly children, children who have special needs , and family issues that teachers need to address.

Let’s pray for their dedication to education and for their protection.

Teachers- Pray for Passion and Dedication

Ask God to rise up godly teachers and educators who are dedicated to their field and can capture the hearts and minds of our nation’s children and youth on each level of education. (Colossians 1:9-10) Pray that your child(ren)’s teacher is instilled with passion and a love for students and teaching and will spark a passion for learning in the students. Pray that the teacher helps the students discover a talent or interest that motivates their desire to learn (1 Corn. 15:58)

Teachers- Protection
Pray that God will protect teachers and other educators and keep them physically safe in the classrooms and on the school grounds. Dismantle any plan to harm them. Protect them from negative and evil political pressures and policies. (Psalm 91; John 17:15)

We need to continually uplift the entire educational system and all those involved in the mountain of education which includes our teachers and administrators. Teachers need much prayer too. We need teachers who are committed to effectively teaching our children.  Schools must be safe for teachers as well as students.

Teachers are important and need prayer and encouragement. I salute qualified teachers who are dedicated to the work and who care about the students. They are so important and deserve decent pay. We want to make sure that teachers are qualified and care about delivering quality education without regard to the race or economic status of the student.

Teachers are teaching and training our children 5 days a week. They need prayer as a part of our children’s life. The prayer of agreement is powerful and we must join our voices and hearts to consistently pray for those involved in educating our children

On the other hand we must guard against negative attitudes of teachers that adversely affects how and what they teach children and how the teacher treats diverse students. We cannot tolerate teachers who make negative remarks about students and who do not really want to teach them. Below are specific prayer points to pray for our teachers. https://www.facebook.com/PrayActWriteRight

Prayer Points for Teachers:

  • Pray that our children will be open to learning new knowledge and to acquire both secular and spiritual knowledge. Pray that God would give them the wisdom to know how to understand and use that knowledge and they use it rightly and for good. (Proverbs 22:6) (2 Timothy 2:15)
Pray for our school teachers to have the wisdom needed to effectively impart knowledge to their students. A wise teacher makes learning a joy… (Proverbs 15:2a)
    • Pray for our school teachers that God will give them the grace to deal with day-to-day frustrations and problems.
    • Pray that our school teachers would exhibit the life of Christ before our children. That they would be filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness.
    • Pray to the one in charge of the harvesting, and ask him to recruit more effective teachers with integrity for our schools. ( See Matthew 9:38)
    • Ask God to rise up Godly educators who are dedicated to their field and can capture the hearts and minds of our nation’s youth on each level of education. (Colossians 1:9-10)
    • Pray our educators will pray unceasingly for guidance and wisdom to become the examples to their students. (I Peter 2:21) Pray they will know how to pray for their students.
    • Pray that teachers will impart godly wisdom to form godly character in their students. (Luke 6:40)
  • Pray for our school teachers that God will give them the grace to deal with day-to-day frustrations and problems.

Prayer and Encouragement for Teachers

Prayer and Encouragement For Teachers

Teachers are important and need prayer and encouragement. I salute qualified teachers who are dedicated to the work and who care about the students. They are so important and deserve decent pay. We want to make sure that teachers are qualified and care about delivering quality education without regard to the race or economic status of the student.

We have been praying specifically and strategically for our children who are a target of Satan. https://ladyofprayer.com/back-2-school-prayers-journey-days-1-5/   https://ladyofprayer.com/united-back-2-school-prayers-journey-protection/     God’s  power is released as we pray. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His heritage. (Psalm 33:12 AMP)

We must also be committed to praying for our teachers. In addition to prayer, we also need to provide the encouragement and cooperation that teachers need to educate our children. Encouragement refreshes and lifts emotions. It energizes people to do their best. 1 Thessalonians 5:11a NIV says, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.”

I salute those qualified teachers who work countless hours. Many have to address disciplinary and emotional issues  that affect their ability to teach effectively. Let’s send a big “THANK YOU” to all those who work diligently to give our children the best education possible.

Parents need to partner with teachers as they cannot do the job alone.  As  parents, grandparents and guardians, we have a responsibility to train up these precious children (our future generation) in the reverence and admonition of God – to teach them the ways of God. We want our children to respect authority figures and be held accountable for negative actions of disrespect and negative behavioral issues. Parents and teachers should work together for the good of the child such as  making sure a child does his /her homework, address disciplinary issues and emphasizing the importance of studying and obtaining an education.

Most of our teachers are doing their best to promote a healthy learning environment. We need teachers who are committed to effectively teaching our children.  Schools must be safe for teachers as well as students.

On the other hand we must guard against negative attitudes of teachers that adversely affects how and what they teach children. There are self-centered people who hold jobs in our educational system that are not concerned with the proper development of our children. They are there to promote their own agendas or there simply to draw a paycheck.

Let us assume our responsibility and involve ourselves in the education of our children. Parents, let your child’s teachers know that you will work with them to build the character of your child. We need to continually uplift the entire educational system and all those involved the mountain of education which includes our teachers and administrators.

The prayer of agreement is powerful and we must join our voices and hearts to consistently pray for those involved in educating our children. Below are specific prayer points to pray for our teachers.

• Pray that our school teachers would exhibit the life of Christ before our children. That they would be filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness.

Those who interact with our students will operate with the fruit of the Spirit, demonstrating love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Pray for the one in charge of the screening and hiring of teachers, and pray that he/she recruits effective teachers with integrity and a true heart for teaching children for our schools. ( See Matthew 9:38)

Back to School with God Part III: Praying for our Teachers by Linda Fegins

Each week for the last three weeks I have been discussing about the need to pray for our schools and children and providing specific prayer points for our children. We need to continually uplift the entire educational system and all those involved in it which includes our teachers and administrators. We need teachers who are committed to effectively teaching our children. There is no doubt there are some committed excellent teachers. Schools must be safe for teachers as well as students. Last year (2011) a student hit a teacher in the back with a stapler, hid in a closet and started hitting the teacher in the chest when the teacher opened the closet door. On the other hand we must guard against negative attitudes of teachers that adversly affects how and what they teach children. We cannot tolerate teachers such as Jennifer O’ Brien who made negative remarks about a group of largely Black and Hispanic first graders when she complained that she was a “warden for future criminal’s”. The prayer of agreement is powerful and we must join our voices and hearts to consitently pray for those involved in educating our children. Below are specific prayer points to pray for our teachers and adminstrators.

Teachers
Pray:
• Pray for our school teachers to have the wisdom needed to effectively impart knowledge to their students.
(Luke 6:40)

Administrators
• Pray for the standard of excellence to be restored in our educational institutes and that our educators will pass on that spirit of excellence, requiring excellence, rather than sloth and ignorance. (Ecclesiastes 2:13-14)
• Pray for the needed tools and proper facilities to teach our children.(Philippians 4:19)
• Pray for the election of godly leaders on our school boards and in the administration of our schools. (I Timothy 2:1)
• Pray for the support staff in the schools to treat the children with dignity and respect.
( Many prayer points for teachers and adminstrators were adopted from From Power-Packed Prayers for Public Schools by Ida Rose Heckard)
