I attended a gathering for all Christian Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, Executives, Professionals and Marketplace Leaders… entitled MarketPlace Monday LIVE ….. Monthly Kingdom Business Network, Study & Prayer Gathering, every 1st Monday at 6pm in Detroit prayer meeting to pray for our businessess. This is lead by marketplace leader Minetta Hare, a global entrepreneur , missionary and minister. She is the owner of several businessess and the visionary of the ministry. We studied the Word of God about the marketplace, Kingdoms, gates and mountains. ( Isaiah 2:2, Revelation 11:15 Ephesians 3:20 among others)

Minetta stressed the following spiritual and practical points about being a successful entrepreneur as well as a person of character:
1. Put God first.
2. Walk by faith.
3. Be a Doer of the Word. James 1:22
4. Live a Life of Integrity.
5. Focus, Be Disciplined and Prioritize-Is this step a part of your vision? Is it a priority to accomplish your goal?
6.Have patience to endure.
7.Understand your Kingdom Purpose. If you don’t know it seek and ask the Lord to clarify it for you.

We each gave three prayer areas we wanted to pray about our businesses. During the study and prayer gathering we were challenged to pray and make declarations about our businesses, specifically to use the Prayer of Jabez, (1 Chronicles 4:10) for the next 30 days.

We can speak declarations over ourselves, our families, our community, our nation and yes over our businesses just like Jabez by using the Word of God which is not limited to the Prayer of Jabaz. Minetta Hare posted in a note based on her studies and an article the following:

Our ability to bless others will result from our practice of BLESSING God. David said “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1). Those who are learning how to declare, decree, pray, confess and give verbal blessings are astonished at how powerful they really are. Spoken blessings are transforming lives of men, women and children around the world. A spoken blessing is made up of three powerful forces: 1) Our Words, God’s Word, and God’s Name. The power of our words alone is affirmed by the Scripture that states, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21). …

….To speak well the Greek word for bless is eulogeo. It means to “speak well of” another. The prefix eu means “good” or “well”, and logos means “a word.” To be blessed is to receive the promises of God, for “every good gift and every perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17), and all the promises of God in him are yea, and Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (2 Corinthians 1:20). We must learn to pray and speak blessings over our family, our friends and others, our community, our ministry, our business and ourselves like Jabez. The Blessing of God was put upon the nation of Israel when God said to Abraham, ” I will make thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make your name great; and you will be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless you, and curse them that curseth you: and all the families of the earth will be blessed” (Genesis 12:2-3). In order to devise words of blessing for others, we must keep our minds focused on “whatsoever things are true, whatsover things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Phillipians 4:8).To speaking a blessing to someone is to use Biblical truths to affirm what God wants to accomplish in and through that person’s life….(from a note of Minetta Hare)

I challenge you to make a declaration over your life and business. Find other appropriate scriptures to declare over your business. Write down three desires you have for your business or life and join with a prayer partner to pray over them with you. In Job it states ” You shall decree a thing and it shall be established…” Job 22:28.
